My Brain is Stuffed with Awesome Sauce: Check it Out!
I couldn't figure out why my productivity was dropping. I had a sense that my workload was spreading out horizontally, which makes sense, because as Awesome Sauce Java becomes more mature, the tests lead to ideas, applications, and implementations. Many of the ideas are close to being finished products, but for a piece they're waiting on to turn them into a final release. That's the nice part about building a language on the JVM - it works and works well.
But this morning, I put together a list that I'd been trying to figure out how to put together. What that means isn't to build a list, I've done that many times and for months. The problem with being spatially blind is remembering that I wrote a list AND where it lives.
Recently, at the beginning of Februrary, I'd found a mechanism that helps me remember, so I'm exploiting it. My hope is it'll turn into an application that not only allows me to store my thoughts, but keep them in front of me so I don't forget them. That's the worst part about having dark spots in mind. Once something slips into darkness? It's pretty random whether it ever comes out, but mostly once something goes into the darkness, it never comes out again
What this organizing principal has allowed me to do is put together a list of all the concepts I've prototyped and/or built for/with/on Awesome Sauce Java with Hot Sauce. When I started getting my head around things, it became pretty clear why I'm churning as days fly by. The following list will get updated, maybe here, but more likely across a few documents that will allow me to update and track progress. Or get them into shape to highlight for the crowd funding campaign or investor presentation.
I opened the file to copy it to this post, and just looking at the list made me realize a bunch more things I forgot to write down. It's cool! But it's a lot of work waiting to get done that should take shape as a product far more quickly than it is. If I was working from a place of stability, it'd be a lot easier to be more productive.
My living situation and finances are bad because I live in a room that smells like racoon poop and the Parkinson's doesn't help, especially since the assault 7 years ago, which had to accelerate the neurological degeneration. Strangely, NYPD reps never even looked curious, much less asked for details when I told them on five different occasions that a guy ran up and clubbed me in the head at a real estate company picnic in 2010. I'm hoping that the next crowd funding campaign works, because I'm really not going to survive if I end up homeless, which is the way things look right about now.
